In June 2007 a new Sportsclinic in the center of Marbella opened its doors for the public. Located in the very center of the town and equipped with the latest technology, the medical director, Dr. med. Petr Spurek explains the philosophy:
The concept of the Foot & Sports Clinic Marbella is to ensure a complete range of orthopaedic patient care with the support of state - of - the - art equipment and highly specialized and trained staff.
In our philosophy the patient with his individual needs and demands is in the center of our consideration whilst establishing a personalized treatment plan.
Our goal is to offer the full complete circle of clinical exploration, diagnostic finding, treatment ( conservative or surgical) up to complete rehabilitation and prevention on the highest level possible.
In order to achieve this goal, we cooperate with one of the most modern hospitals in spain and with some of the most recognized specialists internationally.
Diagnostic imaging and surgical procedures are being performend in the Xanit hospital internacional and due to the direct online connection we have immediate access to the patients findings and are able to communicate instantly with the responsible departments.
The conservative, non surgical treatment is being performed in the FSC Marbella in the depatment of physiotherapy. Here we can treat all kinds of structural and functional disorders of the locomotor system and obviously also perform postsurgical rehabilitation.
Our team of anesthisiologists perform complete presurgical check ups and also offer the treatment of cronical pain syndromes.
With the help of our podiatrist we can make static and dynamic gait analysis and offer customized insoles but also any kind of orthotic devices, manufactured by an orthopaedic tecnician with own workshop.
Surgical procedures are being performed through Dr. Spurek himself, specialist in Orthopaedic surgery and Traumatology, Certified Foot - and Ankle Surgeon and specialist for Sports Medicine. Basically every type of orthopaedic surgery, also minimal invasive surgery is being offered, depending of the problem with the support of some of the most recognized specialists in Europe to assist during surgery.
The postsurgical treatment is being performed in the FSC Marbella under the supervision of Dr. Spurek until succesful rehabilitation is achieved.
